2010 Show

Wow! What a great show it was. Final total was 20 vendors and over 330 guests. At one point during the morning, it was hard to move. I loved the displays and a big thanks goes to Kim Price, Juanita & Gene Bergfield, Jan Liles, Wes Greenamyer, Jim Reed and Fred Hendershot for their donations. The kid's corner and sand pit were a huge success. A big thanks to Gene and Fred for their educational displays in the KC area. Julie Hodges, Amy Bland and Scott Dobek handled the kids corner. Kay McQuown and Mike Elliott handled the sand pit with help from Jan Liles. Mary & Larry Prescott were on the club sales table. Laurie Williams and Rose Gervase were our greeters and did a great job of getting the word out. Kim & Preston Price handled all the auctions. Susan Burns and Jeff Bland handled the rock sales table (way to go guys - you had the highest sales of the day). Poor Roger McQuown was in charge of all the money and keeping it straight - he did a fantastic job. Other members who helped out where needed were Charles & Faye Flint & Wes Greenamyer. If you were there helping out, and I missed you, please let me know & I'll add your name.

I loved having the demo's this year. Juanita Bergfield was the wire-wrapping queen! Gene Bergfield showed us how to polish cabs. Joe Depietro was busy on the opal scene. A big thanks to all 3 of these wonderful, sharing club members.

An extra big thank you to Jim Reed, Gene Bergfield, Julie Hodges, Susan Burns and Kim Price for all their planning work before the show. Kim and Janet Gayle for getting the flyers into the right hands and Janet for the advertising blitz. And one more thanks (I know, this sounds like and Oscar acceptance speech) to all the members who helped us with setup and take-down.

I loved this venue and I hope we'll be allowed to use it again next year.
